Hi Steve,

1) Latex is extremely resilient, thus a hard disk , (high density), border back upwards isn't terribly important, but usually used merely the same. That y'all are lite weight, makes it that much less important.

2). S&F was purchased yesteryear Tempurpedic inward 2013. Since then, every mattress they build has to a greater extent than or less of their retentiveness foam inward it...even their latex mattresses.

Also, the latex used yesteryear S&F is "Smart Latex", a euphemism for synthetic latex. Synthetic latex is a molecular clone of natural latex. No harmful chemicals are used inward it's manufacture, but it is NOT natural latex...and doesn't accept the same durability equally natural latex. It is less expensive to make, which should, but doesn't ever reverberate inward the price.

3). The sagging threshold of a 1.5" impression needed to prevail inward a warranty claim, is touchstone inward the industry. Some are greater, ranging equally high equally 3".

However, That threshold is alone .75" inward most natural latex mattresses. .75" is the threshold for the high character latex brands that nosotros carry.

4). Here again, an all natural latex mattress is preferable for long term use. These higher character latex mattresses will, typically, final for a duo of decades or more...longer nether lite trunk weight. The build that is best known is Pure Bliss. However, I'm equally good fond of the Natura brand. Both are really good made together with come upwards amongst gratuitous white glove delivery.
